| About the Houston Alliance FCTEAM HISTORYThe Houston Alliance Football Club year after year participates as one of South Texas' top amateur soccer clubs. Made up of former professional, semi-professional, and college players, the team continues to be a title contender despite not holding a single practice throughout the season and boasting an average age years beyond its competition. Houston Alliance FC began a number of years ago as the Bay Area Alliance under the manager, Pat Holquin (The God Father). Most players were from around the "Bay Area" of Houston, Texas, including Clear Lake, Dickinson, Friendswood and other communities in South Houston. The Bay Area Alliance played, and still plays as Houston Alliance FC in the Houston Football Association (HFA), the top Houston Area league which employs 80+ men's teams in 8 divisions. The team was never relegated and has always played in the League's Premier (top) Division. For the 1998 - 1999 season, the manager position was given to Sean Walsh as Pat Holquin began working towards his career of becoming a college soccer coach. Although no longer the manager, Sean Walsh continues to aid the team in a number of managerial duties. The 1999 - 2000 season saw the team handed over to Dan Schoen. The team name was changed to Houston Alliance FC as fewer players were from the south of Houston than from Houston itself. The Club recognizes its inception as 1998 because the core players from 1998 remain as the core players today, 10+ years later. Dan Schoen continues to run the team with assistance from Kirk Wagner, Co-Manager, and Brian Triche, Co-Manager and Team Captain. Over the years, the team has accumulated a number of championship trophies: TEAM EMBLEM The single smaller star (just above the cannon) on our team emblem represents our 2000 - 2001 League Championship.
